Air-Gap Spacers

Many exhaust systems use double-wall or air-gap pipes to reduce heat loss in exhaust gas before it reaches the catalytic converter or other after-treatment equipment in an effort to maximize their effectiveness.  ACS Industries, Inc. Air-Gap Spacers are compressed, knitted wire mesh elements inserted between the pipes to cushion them from shock and vibration as well as to absorb any thermal expansion differences between them.  Air-Gap spacers are used on both hot and cold exhaust system components.
