Flame Arrestors

Flame arrestors are elements designed to eliminate flame propagation while still allowing potentially combustible gasses unrestricted flow.  Creating a tortuous path entrainment filtration effect, these compressed knitted wire mesh elements reduce gas pressure and the vapors’ propensity to flare.  Generally fitted into the end of pipes or at the mouth of a container, flame arrestors can be stand alone units or parts of comprehensive fire safety or filling systems.
